The LCA Working Group calls for the immediate end of all ongoing wars, the interruption of conflicts as a means of establishing and conducting relationships between nations. We strongly condemn the use of violence to resolve human issues. We also hope for the restoration of the UN forces as a necessary and effective tool for maintaining global peace. Our work emphasizes the importance of every human’s well-being and the protection of the ecosystem. Our research, which focuses on the impacts on health, ecological systems, and resources, shows that environmental problems caused by poor economic and social decisions cannot be resolved if conflicts continue. In the presence of wars and injustices of any kind, it is impossible to address human-caused environmental damage.

LCA Working Group, October 2024

“If you think the economy is more important than the environment, try holding your breath while counting your money”
