The LCA Working Group will take part in UniMORE Researchers’ Night 2026 in Reggio Emilia with an exhibition titled “Quantifying Sustainability: The Role of Life Cycle Assessment.”

We hear more and more about “sustainability.” But what does sustainability really mean? And how can it be measured? Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) helps us answer these questions by quantifying the environmental impacts of products and processes throughout their life cycle. It allows us to assess their effects on the environment, the use of natural resources, and human and ecosystem health. Through a variety of examples from everyday life, the LCA Working Group will introduce visitors to this analytical methodology and show how LCA can help us better understand the sustainability of the choices we make.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to test their knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment and sustainability by taking part in our LCA Quiz!
